SLED光源

The SLED light source is an ultra-wideband light source designed for special applications such as sensing, fiber optic gyroscopes, and laboratories.

Light source overview:
Compared with general broadband light sources, SLED light sources have the characteristics of high output power and wide spectrum coverage. The product has a desktop (for laboratory applications) and modular (for engineering applications). The core device of the light source adopts a special high output power SLED with a 3dB bandwidth of more than 40nm. After a unique circuit integration, multiple SLEDs can be placed in one device to achieve the flattening of the output spectrum. The unique ATC and APC circuits ensure the stability of the output power and spectral lines by controlling the output of the SLED. By adjusting the APC, the output power can be adjusted within a certain range. Simple and intelligent operation and remote control.

Light source characteristics:
The radiation characteristics of SLED light source are between semiconductor lasers and semiconductor light-emitting diodes. With the development of gyroscopes, optical coherence tomography (OCT), distributed optical fiber sensing, and white light interferometers, SLED has derived a number of series of products. The basis includes the wavelength range covered by the light source and the polarization characteristics of light waves. Especially with the development of interferometric fiber optic sensors, the polarization characteristics of the light source have received more extensive attention. According to the polarization characteristics of the light source, the SLED light source has developed to two extremes, that is, high polarization and low polarization SLED light sources.
